World War 3 fears have exploded after a close ally of Vladimir Putin chillingly warned Russia is aiming to destroy the NATO military alliance by 2030.
Russian General Apti Alaudinov, a key figure leading Chechen forces in the conflict in Ukraine, was recently appointed as deputy at the Main Directorate for Military and Political Work at the defence ministry by Putin.
He issued the horror warning during a televised appearance where he spoke with Olga Skabeyeva, co-host of the program 60 Minutes, broadcasted on Russia-1 channel.
The excerpt of Alaudinov’s remarks was shared on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, by Anton Gerashchenko, a former adviser to Ukraine’s minister of internal affairs.
He wrote: “Apti Alaudinov, [Chechen leader Ramzan] Kadyrov’s closest ally, recently appointed to a position in the Russian defence ministry, tells Russian propagandist Skabeyeva that Russia will wage a war for the rest of the decade and intends to destroy NATO.

“Russia will win in this special military operation and on all other battlefields,” Alaudinov asserted to Skabeyeva, using the Kremlin’s term to describe the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, which commenced with Russia’s invasion on February 24, 2022.
“Yes, we will have to work hard until 2029-2030, but I can assure you that the outcome of this special military operation will be that the NATO bloc will cease to exist in the format in which it exists today,” he added.
“Most of those states, who today are running after America like mutts, will kneel down and swear an oath to Russia, asking to be accepted into our coalition.”
Recently, Russian investigative newspaper Novaya Gazeta identified Alaudinov as a potential successor to Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, who has reportedly been dealing with health issues. The publication reported that the Kremlin has been considering a successor due to Kadyrov’s illness.

Putin has dismissed suggestions of Russia launching an attack on a NATO member, calling such claims “sheer nonsense.”
“Their statements about our alleged intention to attack Europe after Ukraine is sheer nonsense,” he said, noting that Washington’s defence budget is more than 10 times higher than Moscow’s. “In view of that, are we going to wage a war against NATO? It’s ravings.”
However, Putin has reiterated Russia’s preparedness to use nuclear weapons to safeguard its “territorial integrity,” emphasizing that this stance is not mere rhetoric. He underscored this commitment during his annual state of the nation address in Moscow in February, asserting that Russia’s strategic nuclear forces are fully prepared.
Last year, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that a Russian victory in Ukraine could embolden Putin to target NATO member Poland, potentially igniting World War III, as reported by the BBC. Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal echoed similar concerns, emphasizing that a Russian triumph in Ukraine could destabilize the global security system, potentially leading to a catastrophic conflict.
