Future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady again shot down any speculation that he might return for the 2023 season, telling Sports Illustrated that he is permanently retired.
Brady’s name has been linked to several teams, including the Las Vegas Raiders and the Miami Dolphins, should he decide to lace them up for a 24th season.
The 45-year-old Brady did recently buy a minority stake in the Raiders and at the time of his retirement, inked a deal with FOX Sports to become a broadcaster.
“I’m certain I’m not playing again,” Brady told Sports Illustrated. “So, I’ve tried to make that clear and I hate to continue to profess that because I’ve already told people that lots of times, but I’m looking forward to my broadcasting job at Fox next year, I’m looking forward to the opportunity ahead with the Raiders and we’re in the process of that along with the other different things that I’m a part of professionally and in my personal life − just spending as much time with my kids as I can.”

Brady retired in February, weeks after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers suffered blowout loss to the Dallas Cowboys in the wild card round. In his social media post announcing his plans, Brady he was done with football for good, with seven Super Bowl rings and virtually every NFL passing record.
