Royal Caribbean world cruise struck with tragedy as elderly passenger dies


An elderly passenger aboard the Royal Caribbean’s ‘Serenade of the Seas’ cruise ship has tragically passed away at the beginning of the Pacific leg of the voyage.

The Royal Caribbean Ultimate World Cruise, spanning 274 nights and visiting over 60 countries and 11 world wonders, has gained immense popularity, especially on social media platforms like TikTok.

The deceased passenger was aboard the ‘Serenade of the Seas,’ a ship known for its luxurious amenities and extensive itinerary. Departing from Miami, Florida, on December 10, 2023, the vessel embarked on a journey of a lifetime.

Unfortunately, on January 2, while en route to Montevideo, Uruguay, the ship encountered adverse weather conditions, with winds reaching 60mph and heavy rainfall.

This incident adds to the cruise’s recent controversies, with several passengers taking to social media platforms to voice complaints about various issues encountered during the voyage.

One woman revealed that she had to move rooms, and one couple complained that wine supplies had already started to run low.

The ‘Serenade of the Seas’ is set to conclude its journey back in Miami on September 10, 2024.

The extensive itinerary spans multiple continents, offering passengers a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
