Royal fans around the world are celebrating Princess Charlotte turning nine years old today with Kensington Palace sharing a “beautiful” picture of the young royal in luscious green surroundings.
On studying the shared snap, fans can’t get enough of how much Princess Charlotte resembles another family member – her dad, Prince William.
Taking to social media platform, X, @Suse_Susie exclaimed: “A very happy birthday to Princess Charlotte! Beautiful girl looks just like her daddy.”
Whereas @clsyoshimoo expressed shock: “F****** h*ll Princess Charlotte looks like her dad”.
User, @HelsBells63 wrote: “Happy Birthday #PrincessCharlotte Looking so grown up, and a real Daddy’s Girl for looks. Have a great day.”
The adorable image, which shows the youngster casually leaning against a fence and smiling, was shared by the Prince and Princess of Wales on their social media accounts.
Other fans were certain of the resemblance, such as @MissLionHeartPrincess, who wrote: “Charlotte definitely looks like William.”
Sharing the image online, Kate and William captioned the picture: “Happy 9th Birthday, Princess Charlotte! Thank you for all of the kind messages today.”
Charlotte is smiling widely at the camera and wears a maroon cardigan over the top of a navy jumper and floral blouse, with a denim skirt. She wears her waist-length hair down and loose, sporting a casual look.
Royal fans were also quick to comment that the youngster looks “all grown up” in the new picture, comparing the image from previous years.
Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was born at 8.34am on May 2, 2015. Ever since her birth, Charlotte has become one of the most popular members of the Royal Family, with fans delighted whenever they get to see her during a royal occasion or outing.
The last time Charlotte was pictured in public was on Christmas Day last year when she joined her family and other royals for a festive church service on the Sandringham estate.
Kate and William released her birthday image in the same way Prince Louis’s sixth birthday was marked last week.
It marks a change from the usual process, which saw the images issued to the press in advance under embargo, as the royal couple instead shared the image directly to their social media accounts on the day of their birthdays, rather than the night before.
