Prince Harry 'working on another book' as Sussexes 'moving forward in positive direction'

Prince Harry is already “working on another book” to follow up on his bombshell autobiography Spare, a royal commentator claimed.

The Duke of Sussex signed a multi-million deal with Penguin in 2022 for an undisclosed amount but he is believed to have received a £17 million advance for the first book.

Following the release of his memoir, Harry claimed he cut 400 pages from the initial 800-page manuscript – suggesting a sequel could be forthcoming.

The book was heavily centred on his experience growing up as a senior member of the Royal Family and offered unprecedented insight into his relationship with the King and Prince William.

Expert Christina Garibaldi however suggested Harry’s second book may not be a repeat of Spare as he and Meghan Markle focus on new projects not linked to the institution.

Garibaldi said: “It seems like they are moving forward in a positive direction. They have a lot of things coming up, Prince Harry is working on another book.

“As we know, he has a four-book deal so there will be another one coming.

“Meghan is working on her philanthropy, they are said to be in high demand so hopefully the tide shift and they’re continuing to do work that we want to talk about.”

After experiencing a drop in popularity both in the UK and the US following the release of the memoir, the Duke and Duchess signalled they are ready to move on from their negative relationship with the Royal Family to focus on their charity work.

Speaking to her Royally US co-host, commentator Christine Ross admitted she is also ready for the couple to shift their attention away from “juicy” gossip to learn more about their efforts.

Ross said: “We just want to see them doing the good work, their philanthropic work, hear about their charitable projects, maybe not juicy tell-alls.

“I’m interested to see what those other books are going to be because we’ve definitely exhausted the sort of ‘spilling the secret, telling my side of the story’ thing.

“I’d rather be talking about the good work they’re doing, the charities they are supporting rather than the court cases and the dirty secrets.”

According to friends of the couple, Harry and Meghan are eager to turn 2024 into a “year of redemption” after a difficult 2023 for their public image.
