Prince Harry 'still lives at Frogmore Cottage' and the four other errors on royal website

Patronages

A year after Harry and Meghan quit their royal roles they too had to give up their variety of patronages, with these positions later being shared out among the rest of the senior members of the Firm.

Buckingham Palace said in February 2021: “The honorary military appointments and Royal patronages held by The Duke and Duchess will therefore be returned to Her Majesty, before being redistributed among working members of The Royal Family.”

But according to the website the Duchess still supports a number of causes which reflect her interests in the UK, “including the arts, access to education, support for women and animal welfare”.

Mr Fitzwilliams noted that Meghan’s profile page is particularly misleading as “anyone reading this would think that Meghan was still patron of the National Theatre and the Association of Commonwealth Universities.”

Duke and Duchess of Cambridge

Prince William and Kate are also called the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge twice. While this is technically correct, as William and Kate do still hold these titles, they became the Prince and Princess of Wales last September and are now primarily referred to as this – as is reflected in their updated individual pages on the website.

noted that Meghan’s profile page is particularly misleading as “anyone reading this would think that Meghan was still patron of the National Theatre and the Association of Commonwealth Universities.”
