Meghan Markle's desperate new 'trick' to win over King Charles and charm royals

Meghan Markle is hoping to get expert help on how to get back on track with her in laws – by getting advice from a fellow duchess. According to reports the Duchess of Sussex is hoping to talk to the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson in a bid to smooth things over with the Royal Family.

Meghan is believed to have found Fergie being welcomed back into the bosom of The Firm – despite being hit by scandal in the past – “encouraging”.

A source told Heat magazine: “Sarah has certainly navigated some difficult waters over the years, but she’s managed to charm her way back into Charles’s good books. Meghan’s desperate to do the same.”

The source added: “She hopes Sarah can be an ally who’ll stand up for her against the likes of Camilla and Kate, if she and Harry make it to Britain for peace talks with Charles.”

And the way Meghan is thought to be navigating chats with Sarah is via her daughter Princess Eugenie.

According to the source the Duchess of Sussex has asked Eugenie – who is a close friend of Harry and Meghan – to arrange a call between her and her mum Sarah. Eugenie is reported to have told Meghan that Sarah is “happy to help”.

Prince Harry and wife Meghan’s relationship with the royals hit the rocks after they made a series of disclosures about members of The Firm on an interview with American TV megastar Oprah Winfrey, on their Netflix documentary and in The Duke’s memoir Spare.

The Duchess of York fell out of favour with her in-laws after she was pictured having her toes sucked by her financial advisor John Bryan appeared. The late Prince Phillip was said to be furious with Sarah.
