Meghan Markle and Prince Harry set 'to enlist Hollywood pals' for huge political move

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly teaming up with “Hollywood power players” to prepare voters for a “deepfake onslaught”, with them now being praised for their move and urged to enlist their celebrity pals.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are using their Archewell Foundation to launch a campaign to protect voters in the US against election misinformation, according to reports.

The campaign will coincide with the 2024 US presidential election, which will take place on November 5.

And now the couple have been urged to get their celebrity pals involved in their campaign, which comes after the Sussexes were heavily praised for this exciting and important new move.

Speaking to The Mirror, celebrity public relations expert Jane Owen has weighed in with her thoughts on the couple’s political move.

“I think the cause couldn’t be more important,” she said, adding: “Especially with the growth of AI and the upcoming election.”

“The US has a HUGE problem with misinformation and real fake news, not Trump’s definition of it, but the really fake news that is so easily believed it seems. I’m really glad they are using their spotlight to draw attention to it and hopefully, there’s a plan to prevent some of it.”

She then added that she does not feel surprised that they are getting involved in politics again, “they are nothing if not outspoken and it’s a good thing in this case,” she said.

Jane added: “It’s my opinion that this coming election is even more important than 2020 we have a chance to either keep improving the US as we have the last four years or go back to the darkest time in US history with all the chaos Trump brings.”

“I welcome anyone with a significant pull like they have to bring fairness back into the fight,” she added, noting how the couple have a “huge spotlight” on them, which has not always been used for “worthy issues.”

Jane then added: “But this time I think it’s incredibly valuable. I thank them for doing this and I hope they get other celebrities to support them in it.”
