McDonald's to launch new menu in days and it includes a Big Mac with a twist

The fast food giant McDonald’s will roll out the changes on Wednesday, April 17, bringing back some old favourites and exciting new options.

Among the new additions are Cheese and Herb Melts, perfect for a quick bite, and the Chicken Big Mac, which made its UK debut in 2022.

The deluxe Quarter Pounder will also be making a return, along with the Galaxy Caramel Pie first seen last December and a Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry.

While the new menu has been long-awaited, fans of the fast food chain will only be able to enjoy it for six weeks.

Those keen to try the Biscoff Frappe will need to part with £2.99, while the McFlurry will cost £1.99.

The Chicken Big Mac, now returning for its fourth run, was originally launched in Australia. This twist on the classic Big Mac features a triple-layered bun, two chicken patties, a slice of cheese, lettuce, pickles and Big Mac sauce.

It can be purchased as a single item for £4.69 or as part of a meal for £6.49.

The new Cheese and Herb melts are priced at £2.89 for a pack of five or £7.09 for a larger share box. These savoury snacks are crafted from emmental and mozzarella cheese encased in herb-infused breadcrumbs, accompanied by a tangy tomato dip.

The Quarter Pounder Deluxe, retailing at £4.89, features a succulent beef patty garnished with mustard, ketchup, onion, lettuce, mayonnaise, tomato, and pickles.

It’s then crowned with two cheese slices and served in a toasted bun sprinkled with sesame seeds.

McDonald’s fans can upgrade the burger to a meal deal with fries and a drink for an additional £6.59. Also making a comeback as part of the summer menu is the Galaxy Caramel Pie, which launched last year.

This indulgent dessert, priced at £1.99, boasts a Galaxy-flavoured caramel filling enveloped in a crispy chocolate pastry.

The sweet treat is joined by the return of the Galaxy McFlurry, also priced at £1.99, which blends soft ice cream with chocolate drops and sauce.
