'I'm a walking cliché… I'm having an affair with my boss and now I'm pregnant'

“I’ve done one of the most cliche things possible. I’ve been having an affair with my boss.”

Rebecca protests that she has “never done anything like this before” and doesn’t condone cheating, but it’s been going on for the past nine months.

“I was instantly attracted to him when I met him on my first day at the company,” Rebecca, 35, shared.

“I was in a long-term relationship at the time and he was already married… [and] I kept my attraction to him completely to myself.”

Admitting she felt as though she had an “intense schoolgirl crush”, working more closely with Adam over the years, the pair started flirting with one another.

“There was definitely some flirting, but it just seemed to be how he was,” said Rebecca. “He was just a friendly, charming guy.”

Falling for Adam, Rebecca revealed the two had “things in common, interest and hobbies… always having stuff to talk about”.

There were rumours about Adam’s wife circulating in the office – she was emotionally unhinged, apparently turning up to work on numerous occasions to cause a scene.

“[Adam] never spoke badly about his wife… I took [the rumours] with a pinch of salt.”

When Rebecca’s relationship ended, it wasn’t too long before she and Adam began a salacious affair.

“It was around Christmas time that it started,” Rebecca confessed. “On the last day before break, there were maybe only four of us…”

Rebecca recalled: “[Adam] works on the floor above me. He came down and suggested we order food for delivery.

“I spent the rest of the afternoon up in his office talking and laughing, and then we kissed and it ended in us having s*x.

“Three weeks ago I found out that I’m pregnant. I told him about two weeks ago… He wants to keep the baby…”

Rebecca can’t stand the thought of other people in the office finding out about it all. “I really don’t want to be part of his reputation being ruined,” she pleaded. “I’m in love with him. He’s the perfect man to me.”

Adam wanted children, but his wife didn’t, and now he’s saying he will leave his wife for Rebecca and their unborn child.

Rebecca shared: “He feels guilty thinking about leaving his wife because she’s unstable, but he says he’ll leave her for this.

“I feel like he’d really only be leaving her for the baby because he wants that so bad, not because he loves me that much.”
