Meghan Markle tipped for dramatic U-turn with 'absolutely astonishing' trip to UK

Meghan Markle has been tipped to perform a dramatic U-turn by making a trip to the UK in a move that has been branded “absolutely astonishing”.

The Duchess of Sussex could reportedly return to the UK with Prince Harry in May to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games in London, despite stating she wouldn’t “put her foot back in London”, according to a royal author.

Speaking on GB News, Angela Levin said Meghan might be considering taking back what she previously said.

If they her and Prince Harry were to travel with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, it could also give King Charles the rare opportunity to see his grandchildren.

Levin said: “She might be coming in May with Harry and the two children for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

“This is absolutely astonishing because she has said ‘I won’t put my foot back in London’, which makes me think, why does she want to do that?

Founded by the Duke of Sussex in 2014, the international multi-sport event involves wounded, injured, and sick veterans as well as servicemen and women participating in various activities.

A source close to the situation has shared insights on the possibility of Meghan joining her husband in London, revealing that the Duke is “very keen” for her to be a part of it.

They told OK! Magazine: “It’s important for him that they show a united front and focus on building bridges with the rest of the Royal Family.

“The move to bring the Invictus Games back to Britain is seen as an opportunity for Harry and he is very keen to take it.

DON’T MISS:

“He is adamant that he wants Meghan and the children to join him, but I think she may be apprehensive and I think she finds being in the UK very uncomfortable.”

Since stepping back from royal duties with her husband and moving to California in 2020, Meghan has largely refrained from visiting the UK.

However, the Duchess made a virtual appearance in London last week to fulfill her duties by opening a new wing of an animal charity in memory of her late friend Oli Juste.

Emotionally, she expressed her devastation over Juste’s sudden passing in January 2022 as his friends and family gathered at the Mayhew in the north-west of the capital.
