First lady Jill Biden slammed on social media over White House Christmas video

Dr Jill Biden has been mocked online for posting a video of dancers in the White House for an official Christmas clip.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the First Lady shared the video from the official @FLOTUS account.

It shows dancers of tappers from Torrance Dance doing an interpretation of the Nutcracker Suite, Biden said.

While the dancers seem to be having plenty of fun, smiling as they dance around the decorated halls and corridors of the president’s base, viewers didn’t feel the same way.

Some were left less than impressed by the clip, which is a modern tradition for First Lady’s to post a Christmas message each year.

“The United States of Bananas,” one viewer posted.

“Imagine thinking this gives America the Christmas spirit,” another wrote.

Others likened the video to the Hunger Games setting, while others called it embarrassing and reacted with confusion.

The video was also compared to Melania Trump’s versions from her tenure in the White House.

One X user posted one of Melania’s clips, showing a lavishly decorated White House, with the former First Lady seen looking at an array of Christmas themed baked goods and talking with staff members.

Viewers remarked on the differences, saying Trump’s videos were tasteful and seasonal, calling Biden’s version “tacky, tasteless, and ANTI Christmas.”

There were a handful of supporters, however. One user wrote: “That’s incredible! The post brought a smile to my face. Hats off to Dorrance Dance and their hard work – I’m sure their interpretation of The Nutcracker Suite will continue to bring joy and wonder to the audience.”

Another posted: “I couldn’t love this any more than I do!”
