After watching “Barbie” in movie theaters, you may be pulling out your old toys from the attic and reminiscing about your childhood.
Maybe you miss watching “Thomas & Friends” and playing with your train set along the narrowing tracks. Or perhaps you miss pretending to be Masters of the Universe, fighting for Eternia with friends.
You’ll be able to relive all of your favorite childhood memories and create new ones at a new Mattel theme park opening in Arizona next year.

When is Mattel Adventure Park opening?
The park is set to open in 2024, though the exact date has not been revealed.
There is a construction camera on the park’s website to keep an eye on the progress.
When Mattel Adventure Park opens, it will be “Arizona’s first fully themed indoor/outdoor amusement park,” according to the park.
Where is Mattel Adventure Park?
Mattel Adventure Park is being built in Glendale, Arizona, 15 miles west of downtown Phoenix, near State Farm Stadium, the home of the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals.
The theme park will be a part of the VAI Resort, which is under construction and will feature an outdoor concert venue, four hotel towers, a nightclub and more. The resort is also planning a 2024 opening.
How big is Mattel Adventure Park?
The park will span nine acres and include over 160,000 square feet of themed air-conditioned amusement space, according to the VAI Resort website.
“Mattel Adventure Park features a unique and strategic year-round indoor/outdoor design providing acres of air-conditioned space to ensure a cool guest experience all summer long here in the heat of Arizona,” Mark Cornell, President at Epic Resort Destinations, said in a statement.
The park is expected to be open 365 days a year.
What rides will Mattel Adventure Park have?
Mattel Adventure Park will feature a full-scale Barbie Beach House with a Barbie Dream Closet Experience featuring hologram technology and a rooftop bar and restaurant.
The park will also feature two Hot Wheels-themed roller coasters. “The Hot Wheels Bone Shaker themed ride will be the first-ever family coaster to feature the famous hot rod’s skull design that climbs 84 feet in the air, while the double-looping Hot Wheels Twin Mill Racer guarantees a serious adrenaline boost for guests seeking an even higher-octane experience,” the park announced Monday.
Thomas & Friends: World of Sodor will include family-friendly attractions and an indoor play area for young guests.
There will also be a Masters of the Universe laser tag arena designed after Castle Grayskull, a mini golf experience with nine holes inspired by Mattel games and an oversized UNO card climbing structure.
How much are tickets to Mattel Adventure Park?
Prices for the Mattel theme park have yet to be announced.
