The Chicago Cubs’ 2026 season has been a rollercoaster ride.
A little more than a month before the All-Star break, Craig Counsell’s club has compiled two (!) ten-game win streaks and a ten-game losing streak.
And while the team is wildly unpredictable, this year’s slate of freebie giveaways at Wrigley Field is rock solid. Just a few of our favorites this summer include:
1930s replica jersey
Friday, June 19
National Hot Dog Day cap
Saturday, July 18
2016 World Series anniversary surprise pin
Wednesday, July 22
Wrigley Field marquee night light
Sunday, Aug. 2
Harry Caray bobblehead
Sunday, Aug. 30
That’s not to mention all the other throwback jerseys, bobbleheads, hats, fleeces, sunglasses and themed nights scheduled this summer.
In total, we counted a whopping 35 upcoming giveaway dates.
However, it’s not just the Cubbies — who have big home games against the Cardinals, White Sox, Yankees, Brewers and World Series champion Dodgers while they battle for their first NL Central crown since the COVID-shortened 2020 season — and the giveaways that make a trip to the Friendly Confines so special.
“In my opinion, no ballpark more embodies the essence, spirit and history of baseball more than Wrigley,” My 7th Inning Stretch wrote in a review of the ballpark back in May 2015.
“Wrigley provides a connection to the game as it was in a ‘simpler time’ before massive population and infrastructure growth and before the inundation of technology. The iconic ivy… [is] still there.”
If you’re hoping for a bite to eat, hot dogs, chicken tender baskets, Kraft Mac and Cheese souvenir helmets, Jim Beam cocktails and Kona Brewing Company drafts are just a few of most notable food and drink options on the premises.
