Ukraine claims Russia using Elon's Musk's Starlink in bloody frontline battle

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has claimed that Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite communication systems are being used by Russian occupiers on the front line.

Intercepted radio communications have reportedly revealed the installation of Starlink terminals, notably within units of the 83rd separate air assault brigade of the Russian armed forces, aimed at establishing internet access.

Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, said: “Yes, it’s true. Cases of using of the mentioned devices by Russian occupants have been recorded. This is starting to become systemic.”

Operating in the Donetsk region near Klishchiyivka and Andriyivka, the “troops of the 83rd air assault brigade of terrorist Russia” have raised alarms with their deployment of Starlink technology, according to Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

According to reports from the American media outlet Defense One, the detection of Russia’s use of satellite communications on the front lines dates back several months, with two anonymous sources alleging this to the outlet.

Musk’s company SpaceX has vehemently denied doing any business with Russia’s government or military.
