Today is Memorial Day, which means people across the country will have the day off of work or school.

That includes employees at some retailers that are shutting down for the day.

Hours of operation at stores vary over the federal holiday, which honors U.S. soldiers who died during service. Some stores, like Target, are operating under regular hours. Others like PetSmart are running on reduced hours, and a select few are closing down stores entirely for the holiday.

Most retailers suggest customers look up their local store on their website or mobile app to double-check holiday hours.
