Rwanda Bill LIVE: Meddling House of Lords force extra votes as flights set for more delays

Meddling Labour peers in the House of Lords are trying to force a vote on two of the four amendments to Rishi Sunak’s Rwanda Bill – which could stop flights taking off in June.

If they are able to push through extra votes, then this will delay a House of Commons vote until Monday at the earlies, in the latest setback to the Govrnment’s controversial legislation.

It comes after MPs overturned the latest changes to the bill on Monday, with unelected lawmakers continuing to debate over the safety of plans to send migrants to the east African nation.

The much-delayed Rwanda Bill was expected to clear its final stages today, but recent announcements have thrown things into chaos.
