Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have snubbed an invitation to the wedding of a man worth £9.8billion. Hugh Grosvenor, the 7th Duke of Westminster, is due to get married to Olivia Henson in June 2024 at Chester Cathedral.
Among the guests expected are King Charles, Queen Camilla, and Prince George. Prince William is reportedly the 32-year-old Duke’s best man.
Despite the high-profile nature of the event, Harry and Meghan will not be attending. At first, it was suggested that they had not been invited, but the Mail reported that the opposite was the case.
Sources close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said they were sent a save-the-date notice, but decided not to take up the invitation because it would be awkward to attend the ceremony.
