Robert De Niro, 79, welcomed his seventh child Monday with a low-key acknowledgment during an ET Canada interview in which the actor said he now has seven children.
The revelation, which surprised the entertainment industry, disclosed no details, including the birth date or gender of the newborn and the mother’s identity. A representative confirmed the baby’s birth to USA TODAY without additional information.
But actress Kim Cattrall, De Niro’s co-star in his upcoming film “About My Father,” identified the mother as Tiffany Chen, an actress and martial arts instructor. De Niro and Chen have been linked since 2021.
De Niro mentioned his new addition while talking about the film, which is set to be released May 26. The Academy Award-winning actor’s six other children are ages 11 to 51. One is adopted; three were delivered by surrogate mothers.
