The marquee signing for the Las Vegas Raiders will be available in training camp, after all.
According to ESPN, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who signed a three-year contract with Las Vegas in March worth up to $67.5 million, passed his physical Sunday and will not need to begin the season on the physically unable to perform list. Garoppolo, 31, broke his foot in a Week 13 game in December while a member of the San Francisco 49ers and had been rehabbing the injury.
It is still unclear, however, if Garoppolo will be limited by the injury. The Raiders open training camp Tuesday, when all veterans are due to report.

Though not an official confirmation, the Raiders published a pair of posts to their verified Twitter account, including a video that showed Garoppolo walking into the team’s facility.
“Feeling great, baby,” Garoppolo said during the video. “Let’s go, Raider Nation. Fresh year, let’s go get it.”
According to a May report from Pro Football Talk, the contract Garoppolo signed gave the Raiders some protection against the quarterback’s injured left foot through a waiver and release clause that would allow the team to terminate the contract without owing Garoppolo any money. The Athletic reported that Garoppolo underwent surgery in March, after he had signed with the team.
In 11 games for the 49ers last season, he completed 67.2% of his passes for 2,437 yards, with 16 touchdowns against four interceptions. In nine seasons in the NFL, Garoppolo has thrown for 14,289 yards and 87 touchdowns against 42 interceptions.
