Remove crusty limescale from your shower head in 15 minutes with cleaner’s ‘easiest’ hack

Showers need cleaning regularly as they can accumulate mould, mildew and limescale that can be hard to remove if left on for a long time.

Limescale is particularly prominent on shower heads and shower hoses making them look unsightly.

Luckily, there is a way to leave your shower head and hose looking “spotless” and “sparkling” with a cleaner’s “simple and effective” method.

Taking to her Instagram page @washy_wash_cleantok, Dominika Hamadova has shared the “easiest way” to remove shower head limescale – and it only takes 15 minutes.

Dominika captioned the video: “Shower head and shower hose deep cleaning should be in our weekly to-do cleaning list, especially if you have hard water problems.

“The easiest way to get rid of limescale, water marks and brink back shine is to use a ziplock bag filled with white vinegar.

“Leave to soak for 15 to 20 minutes and wash all residue. Simple and effective bathroom hack.”

Dominika’s shower head was on that could be unscrewed, but if this is not the case for you, this vinegar bag hack can still work. You would just need to tie the end of the bag around the shower head with a rubber band.

Taking to the comments section, fellow Instagram users shared their opinions on the cleaning hack.

@plastnocom wrote: “This is an amazing hack and does such a great job at getting rid of the buildup. Vinegar is awesome.”

@kerryberry515 said: “This worked so well on our kitchen faucet, need to do for shower head.”

@mrdeanrowland commented: “Crazy what comes off comes off. You don’t realise it.” @jenspice007 said: “White vinegar helps so much.”
