Princess Kate's quick-witted five word reply after being told she's 'lucky' to have Prince

Princess Kate reportedly had a brilliant response after she was told she was “lucky” to have Prince William. The Prince and Princess of Wales first met each other at St Andrews University where Prince William was considered one of the world’s most eligible bachelors.

However, it was after witnessing the stunning appearance of the Princess of Wales in a see-through dress at a charity fashion show that he realised he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.

Now, the Royal couple who have known each other for over two decades and have been married for 12 years, share a strong bond.

Upon their marriage, Kate received the royal title of Duchess of Cambridge. Following the unfortunate passing of the late Queen in 2022, she assumed the title of Princess of Wales.

When Prince William eventually ascends the throne, she will undergo another title upgrade, being referred to as Queen Catherine.

When the decision to settle down was made, many perceived her as exceptionally fortunate to be with Prince William.

Yet, when a friend expressed this sentiment to her during their university days at St Andrews, Kate reportedly responded with a brilliant remark.

According to Claudia Joseph, author of “Kate Middleton: Princess in Waiting,” when a friend commented on how lucky Kate was to be dating William, she simply smiled and said: “He’s lucky to have me.”

In a rare revelation last year, she opened up about her love for William and how it led to her becoming a member of the Royal Family. This candid moment occurred when she participated in a Dame Kelly Holmes Trust event in Bath and engaged in a game of bean-bag noughts and crosses with the double Olympic champion, although she didn’t emerge victorious.

In response to a student’s inquiry about whether she aspired to be a “royal,” the Princess confessed that it was an unexpected development, but she “fell in love” with Prince William.

She also openly acknowledged that there is a aspect of royal life she is “still working out,” admitting it is not inherently her “natural thing.”

Presently, William and Princess Kate continue to enjoy their Christmas break with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, who are not scheduled to return to school until the following week.

The family celebrated Christmas at Sandringham alongside King Charles and the rest of the Royal Family. On Christmas Day, royal enthusiasts were treated to the heartwarming sight of William and Kate strolling hand in hand with their children from Sandringham house to St Mary Magdalene Church. I

n a touching moment, Zara and Mike Tindall’s eldest daughter, Mia, held hands with Louis, who, in turn, clasped his father’s hand.
