This time last year, the Royal Family was gearing up for one of the biggest and most important events in decades – the Coronation of King Charles.
Months of planning went into the special occasion in order for it to be a perfect celebration.
As well as Charles and Queen Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales played key roles on the big day last May – and they too were obviously keen for the Coronation to run smoothly.
And according to a lip reader, Kate issued a concerned four-word warning to Prince William ahead of the ceremony in order to avoid a potential slip-up.
It came as the couple arrived at Westminster Abbey with their children Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis and joined the procession before King Charles and Queen Camilla’s crowning.
Both wore formal robes with Kate in her striking Royal Victorian Order mantle, while William sported his Order of the Garter mantle.
Cameras captured the moment the couple lined up waiting for the procession to start, with William and Kate seen exchanging words with each other, reports the Mirror.
And it appears that the princess had a word of concern for her husband before they started the long walk into the Abbey.
Professional lip reader Jeremy Freeman told the Daily Star that Kate turned to William and said “Just mind the gown”. And he believes the heir to the throne replied with reassurance saying: “Don’t worry I got [or caught] it.”
Thankfully, it appeared there were no hiccups with the robes during the procession or the rest of the Coronation ceremony. However, one mysterious detail on Kate’s outfit sent royal fans into a frenzy when the official Coronation photos were released.
Her robe largely covered her stunning Alexander McQueen dress but ditched the mantle for the official photos. However, eagle-eyed royal fans noticed that the V-shaped neckline of the dress in the official photo was seemingly different to when Kate was at the Abbey when it appeared to be a round neck.
It led to speculation online that the princess may have even had two dresses made – despite the embroidery on the skirt remaining the same.
However, the mystery of the neckline of the dress has appeared to have been explained – and it seems it could have all been down to a separate garment.
