The Princess of Wales has sparked a frenzy amongst royal fans by sharing a sweet throwback picture of herself as a toddler on both Instagram and X.
The picture shows a young Catherine Middleton, who would have been a few weeks shy of her second birthday at the time, looking away from the camera in December 1983.
Upon seeing the adorable picture, fans couldn’t help but notice how much she looked like one other royal – her youngest son Prince Louis.
Fans took to social media to express their opinions on how much Prince Louis, five, looks like his mum.
One fan wrote: “Oh my it’s like looking at Prince Louis [heart emoji]”.
Another fan wrote: “Louis looks so much like her [heart-eyes emoji]”.
A third fan, writing a similar comment, shared a picture of the five-year-old.
Other fans commented that the picture of Princess Kate is “baby Louis to a fault”, the picture “could totally be Louis” and that Louis is “her twin”.
This isn’t the first time that fans have noticed how much the young royal looks like his mum – with Kate even reportedly thinking it too.
In 2020, whilst visiting the Khidmat Centre in Bradford, Kate and William stumbled across an throwback picture of the future King.
Whilst looking their love story being recreated in a series of photographs placed on top of some cupcakes, one picture caught William’s eye as he pointed out his striking resemblance to his young daughter.
The Prince of Wales said: “Is that me? Doesn’t it look like Charlotte? Doesn’t it look like Charlotte? Is that me? Oh my goodness…
“That’s incredible. I haven’t seen that before. Very alike similarly.”
