Princess Diana exhibition unveiled showcasing iconic pictures of beloved royal

Princess Diana: Accredited Access Exhibition is set to be unveiled in London this spring.

The special exhibition – which will give a new insight into the life of the late royal – will be opening at Dockside Vaults in St Katharine Docks, London, on May 25 and will run until September 2.

For the first time in the UK, world-famous royal photographers, Anwar Hussein and his two sons, Samir and Zak will showcase their own remarkable photographs of the much-loved late royal.

The exhibition comes to London three months before the 27th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death in August.

Remarkable photographs of Diana’s family will also be showcased, paired with first-hand accounts of the stories behind each moment in audio form.

Accredited by the Royal Family, the Hussein family make up the longest-standing family of Official royal Photographers.

During their long-spanning career, the family have received special access to document the lives of the Royal Family in public, as well as capturing more intimate and special moments.

Their well-known photography skills were also behind the unforgettable revenge dress in 1994. As well as when Diana dared to break royal protocol by shaking the hand of an Aids patient in April 1987.

Another iconic image that will be on display is one of Diana sitting alone outside the Taj Mahal and another of her walking through the landmine field as part of her trip to Angola in 1997.

In a statement released to the media, Anwar Hussein said: “I am honoured and humbled to have been given the opportunity to photograph Princess Diana so extensively and to have had the pleasure of having many friendly and insightful conversations with her.

“I am delighted that the images captured, as well as those of my sons, are coming home to London to recognise and memorialise such a remarkable woman and her sons.

“There are so many memories of our two families connecting and creating a special relationship, which I am pleased to be able to display in such a unique way through the exhibition.”

Now multi-award winning photographers in their own rights, Samir and Zak have also captured the lives of Diana’s sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, over the years.

Tickets will be available from 10am on February 29 here.

The 60-minute exhibition also includes complimentary access to the audio guide.
