Prince William adopts 'new gesture' to boost confidence and shake off Prince Harry feud

Prince William has developed a new gesture which comes across as “super confident” and showcases his development in 2023, amid the feud with his younger brother, Prince Harry, a body language expert has claimed.

The Prince of Wales is reportedly not “on speaking terms” with the Duke of Sussex, after the latter’s repeated attacks on the Firm have continued over the years.

The brothers’ rift has been deepening ever since Harry quit his royal duties in 2020, along with his wife Meghan Markle and both moved to the US.

Since then, the duke has made several claims against his older brother, including one in his memoir, Spare, in which he accused him of getting physical with him during an altercation.

The latest blow to their damaged relationship came in November, after Omid Scobie released his explosive book Endgame which portrays Prince William as “hot-headed” with a temper. Meanwhile, it also suggests there is rivalry between King Charles and Prince William due to their “different opinions and approaches” to monarchy.

Harry and Meghan have kept their distance from the book, but they have been previously known to have helped Scobie with the release of his first publication, Finding Freedom.

Yet, it looks like the heir to the throne has been trying to shake off his sibling tension with a new gesture to boost his confidence.

Body language and behavioural expert Darren Stanton claimed William has been appearing “confident in his own skin” by adopting a key element in his stance which he hasn’t done before.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Bingo, he said: “Prince William, in terms of being our future monarch, has certainly come far in his ability to not only work with members of the royal family, or Kate, but to also work alone – all whilst coming across as super confident.

“One thing I have noticed with him as of late is that he will widen his stance, which is a new gesture that we haven’t seen with William before.

“This is a gesture that pop stars and actors often adopt at red carpet events, as it denotes confidence.

“With Prince William, we will notice a few gestures where his foot stance is quite wide, and that is directly linked unconsciously to the level of inner confidence and personal comfort he feels.

“Therefore, he doesn’t come across as nervous, as he looks and appears comfortable in his own skin.”
