After some speculation, it has now been confirmed by the Daily Mail that Louis’s checkered shirt is a hand-me-down from 10-year-old George.

Louis, who is currently third in line to the British throne, is wearing the Thomas Brown Camel Check Oliver Shirt.

George was spotted wearing the shirt in a sweet family photograph, taken in 2022, of the late Queen surrounded by some of her great-grandchildren and her two youngest grandchildren.

After confirming that Princess of Wales is keen on recycling her two sons’ clothes, many fans praised the mother-of-three’s decision.

Taking to replying to a post on X by @remisagoodboy, one fan commented: “I love that Catherine does this. Keeping the tradition of hand me downs [blue-heart emoji].”

Another fan commented: “Normal family tradition! Hand-me-downs.”

A third fan also wrote: “How lovely it would be if George had it handed down to him by William [red-heart emoji].”

Praising both Kate and William, another fan commented: “Way to go William and Catherine, I grew up in hand me downs.”

Prince Louis Arthur Charles was born at the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital in London on April 23, 2018.

At the time of his birth, a statement from Kensington Palace read: “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs.”
