Prince Harry's pal reveals sweet hope for Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet's future

Prince Harry’s close pal and polo teammate, Nacho Figueras, has revealed his one wish about whether Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet will follow in their father’s footsteps.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex delighted royal fans over the weekend after they stepped out in Florida and packed on the PDA during Harry’s fundraising polo match for his charitable organisation, Sentebale.

The Sentebale Polo Cup is held every year in aid of Sentebale, the charity Harry co-founded in 2006 that supports young people and children living in southern Africa.

The duke captained the Royal Salute Sentebale Team against the Grand Champions Team, led by Figueras, with Harry scoring the opening goal before his team won the match 3-1.

After the match, the Argentinian polo player was asked about whether the Sussex children would end up playing polo and whether he’d like them to play against his own children.

Figueras told HELLO!: “I really hope so, I hope that Archie and Lili get to love horses as much as he does.

“There’s something about the outside of a horse that’s great for the inside of a human. Hopefully, that love and passion will be transmitted.

“I know my kids love it and they love to play. It would be a dream that one day we all get to play polo together.”

Figueras shares four children with wife Delfina Blaquier – Hilario, 24, Aurora, 19, Artemio, 14, and Alba, 11.

The polo player added that whilst he and Harry don’t play together as much, they speak to each other “very often, which is great”.

He explained: “It’s always great to be with him and doing something we love, which is playing polo.

“We speak very often, which is amazing to be able to have a friendship that feels like – sometimes we’re not together-together – so it’s always a good thing to be able to share that with someone.”

As for who is the most competitive out of the two, Figueras clarified: “I think it goes both ways.

“It’s been a few days that we’ve been punching each other, who’s going to win today.

“We like to make fun about that, today it’s Sentebale that wins and that’s what we’re all here for.”
