Prince Harry wants to return to the UK and make things right with the Royal Family, but Meghan Markle has other plans, an insider has claimed.
The couple stepped down as working members of the Royal Family in 2020 against the late Queen’s wishes.
Since then, things have not been smooth sailing for them, with the past 12 months being particularly turbulent for the duke and duchess as they struggled to fit in with their Hollywood peers.
Despite this, Meghan is keen on returning to acting, but Harry is “yearning” for his family, Eleanor Cora Publicist at Dauntless PR said.
She added: “There has been talk that Meghan would love to return to acting but other sources suggest Harry is yearning to build bridges with his family and spend more time in the UK.
“Differing goals may pose a challenge for their relationship.”
In the four years since the Sussexes dramatically left their roles as working royals, the last year has certainly been the most eventful.
Harry released his controversial memoir Spare, the prince’s Invictus Games in Germany was a huge success and rumours buzzed about Meghan possibly restarting her lifestyle blog, The Tig.
They also signed contracts with streaming giants Spotify and Netflix, but last year the deal with the former was mutually ended after executives were ‘underwhelmed’ with their podcast.
The Sussexes’ sent shockwaves around the world when they made their decision to leave the Royal Family.
Queen Elizabeth called an urgent family meeting, now known as the Sandringham Summit, to discuss the situation.
Following the meeting, Elizabeth II issued a rare statement saying: “Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much-loved members of my family.”
She also acknowledged the difficulties they had faced due to intense public scrutiny and supported their desire for a more independent life.
