Prince Harry warned against following 'poisonous path' with second bombshell book

Prince Harry has been warned against going down a “lucrative but poisonous path” with another book that would slam the door shut on any reconciliation with the Royal Family.

The Duke of Sussex’s tell-all memoir, Spare, primarily focused on his life before he married Meghan Markle in 2018, something which “did not go unnoticed,” according to a new biography of King Charles by Robert Hardman.

Mr Hardman wrote in the new book, according to MailOnline: “For the Palace, the most worrying aspect of the book was the omission of large chunks of more recent events.

“It did not go unnoticed that Harry and Meghan’s wedding, their married life, and their eventual departure from the royal world amounted to a small part – less than a fifth – of Prince Harry’s memoir. This suggested either a sequel or, perhaps a memoir by Meghan in due course.”

But royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams has warned against either Harry writing another bombshell book, claiming it would inflict massive damage onto their brand.

“Their brand would become toxic. Obviously, they would have no future relationship with the Royal Family if they went down this lucrative but poisonous path.

Harry previously claimed in an interview with The Telegraph that he had enough material to write another book and even withheld some details which King Charles and Prince William would never forgive him for if they were released.

The Duke said at the time: “It was 800 pages, and now it’s down to 400 pages. It could have been two books, put it that way, and the hard bit was taking things out.

“There are some things that have happened, especially between me and my brother, and to some extent between me and my father, that I just don’t want the world to know. Because I don’t think they would ever forgive me.”
