Prince Harry and the cousin who has taken his side from heavy drinking to naked pranks

Prince Harry may be without several members of his immediate family as he marks the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games at St Paul’s Cathedral.

However, relatives from his mother’s side of the family are out in force at the event in central London, appearing to show solidarity with the Duke of Sussex.

That said, Harry’s previous dealings with one of the relatives in attendance at St Paul’s has seen the Prince get himself into hot water.

The 39-year-old attended the 2016 wedding of George McCorquodale in South Africa and was pictured smoking and was reportedly drunk “big time”.

George, 39, Prince Harry’s cousin, married Bianca Moore in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands and the Duke of Sussex is said to have been partier-in-chief at the Gowrie Farm Golf Club.

The Sun reported a friend who was in attendance at the wedding celebration as saying: “On the Friday night everyone was having a great time.

“Harry can drink – he drinks a lot. He was p***ed big time and smoking a lot of cigarettes. At one stage he and friends pinned down a younger cousin and stripped him naked. Everyone was laughing, having a good time.

“Harry was on his best behaviour during the wedding, but afterwards at the golf club he went pretty wild.

“An honesty bar had been set up which was completely drunk dry. Lots of spirits bottles were left and they were all emptied. On Sunday everyone looked like they were recovering from a heavy weekend.”

George, a teacher, is the second child of Princess Diana’s older sister Lady Sarah.

Prince Harry is still close with his mum’s side of the family, reflected in their attendance at his Invictus Games event tonight.

Earl Spencer, Princess Diana’s brother, Lady Spencer, Lara Spencer and Louis Spencer, are at the anniversary thanksgiving celebration in central London.
