Kerry Katona waved to the camera as she entered the theatre before undergoing a gruelling surgery on Wednesday afternoon. The 43-year-old is having reconstructive surgery on her nose after revealing she has a hole in the middle of it.
Ahead of going under the knife, Kerry took to social media to give her social media followers an update as to why she’s decided to go ahead with the surgery. In the video, the mum-of-five touched on her former drug use in the past, which resulted in a hole developing in her nose.
Due to this, Kerry admits she’s always sniffing and finds it embarrassing. She said: “Mud sticks and if I’m out and about and I’m slightly sniffing I always think people think, ‘Oh god she’s back on the gear’, which I’m not because I don’t even drink.”
The 43-year-old explained that her surgeon Dr Raghavan will be taking a piece of bone from her rib and placing it inside her nose to fix it, as it’s collapsing slightly. She said: “I was offered to get it done many years ago and I said no, I didn’t want it fixing.
“It was a reminder that if I was ever to put something else up my nose, it could collapse. But I’ve done a huge 360, super, super proud of myself I’ve completely turned my life around.
“I think the time is right now, to get it fixed.
“I think it’s important to let people out there who have been through that kind of situation that there are places you can go and get it sorted.”
Kerry told her followers that if she’s able to turn her life around, then anybody can.
Ahead of her surgery, Kerry was seen in her hospital gown on social media as she prepared to have her surgery at Pall Mall Cosmetics, the company captioned the clip: “Good luck! We’ll see you soon Kerry!”
On their Instagram, they also shared a snap of Kerry hugging her surgeon before going into the theatre.
In another video, Kerry explained how getting the surgery was finally closing a door on a chapter of her life.
Although she explained the chapter was already closed for her many years ago, this decision is “really” closing it.
It wasn’t long before Kerry’s social media followers sent their support to the former Atomic Kitten singer.

Another follower added: “You certainly have turned your life around beautiful.”
