Prince Harry and Prince William united over fashion statement they are both obsessed with

At two evening royal engagements this year, Prince William was spotted dressed to the nines – wearing a stylish navy tuxedo at the BAFTAs award ceremony in London on February 18, and a black tuxedo with a matching black bow tie to the London’s Air Ambulance Charity Gala dinner earlier this month.

Fans have often commented on Prince William’s dapper and stylish outfits, with one body language expert claiming he could have been “mistaken for a Hollywood actor” at the BAFTAs 2024.

However, for off-duty, or more relaxed royal appearances, Prince William often chooses to wear chinos with open-neck shirts and fitted jumpers, for a more casual look.

Also opting for a more relatable-look, and a clear fan of his brother’s taste, Prince Harry also favours a relaxed slim chino with a buttoned-down shirt. In multiple outings both as a working member of the Royal Family and during his time in the US, Harry has favoured chinos with a smart pair of shoes.

For the ultimate casual wear and with a choice of nine different colours to choose from, Marks and Spencer (M&S) chinos are being snapped up for £25 a piece, as fashion fans get excited for warmer weather.

From light grey to dark siege and sizes UK 6 to 24, the chinos will elevate your casual daytime wardrobe, and you can follow the style of a royal prince!

To conclude their World Mental Health Day tour, William and Kate were in Marlow on October 12, 2023, visiting the Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre.

The couple wanted to shine a light on the interaction between mental health and sport. As the duo wanted the event to be approachable for attendees and were joining in a few sporting activities, they had dressed down for the event, with Prince William wearing navy blue chinos, a light blue shirt and a fine blue knitted top.

During his candid chat with young athletes, Prince William said: “For me, resilience is a mindset. When things go wrong, I go into a different gear.”

Prince William and Princess Kate joined young athletes and took part in sessions designed to foster mental resilience – they even played a bit of sport and got competitive.

For community engagements, William often chooses a relaxed look for visits. Visting Merthyr Tydfil in Wales last April, The Prince and Wales celebrated the 60th anniversary of the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue to meet members of the community.

William wore khaki chinos with side pockets and brown boots as he collected pizza boxes alongside Kate to take the food from a nearby pizza van into Dowlais Rugby Club.

William had also chosen to wear a black puffer jacket to keep warm during April showers.

The heir to the throne has also been wearing chinos at various sporting events, alongside his brother, Harry.

During the 2014 Invictus Games, William wore an Invictus polo top with beige chinos, but Harry chose an even more casual look and wore blue jeans with his Invictus fleece.

Prince Harry was supported by his father and brother for the first day of the Invictus Games in London, 2014 at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in east London.

During a relaxed but sombre event in honour of their late mother, Princess Diana of Wales, both Harry and William matched their fashion choices and both styled dark chinos and blazers for the memorable event.

To mark the 20th anniversary of their mother’s death, the two princes sheltered under umbrellas as they toured a garden to honour their mother.

They looked at floral tributes, photos and candles left on the gates of Kensington Palace and read messages left by well-wishes.

At the time, Kensington Palace said the visit allowed the princes “to pay tribute to the life and work of their mother the day before the 20th anniversary of her death”.
