Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's projects have hidden agenda, royal expert says

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s project announcements appear to have a hidden agenda, a royal expert has claimed.

Both Meghan and Harry have revealed plans to release new projects – but no official release dates for their forthcoming projects have been announced.

Meghan, 42, announced that she had signed with Lemonada Media earlier this year, but it now appears that she won’t release any material until 2025.

Speaking on this week’s Palace Confidential, the Daily Mail’s Richard Kay said that Meghan and Harry often appear to be “in a hurry” to make announcements – then “nothing happens”.

Referring to claims that Meghan won’t release content with Lemonada until next year, Mr Kay said: “All these plans are in the pipeline and then nothing happens.”

Speaking of the couple’s projects, Mr Kay said the believes they announce their plans to make them look “busy” – but never follow through quickly.

A California-based insider alleged that Meghan’s podcast had been “pushed back” to 2025.

According to MailOnline, it is understood that Lemonada didn’t want the launch to overshadow the former actress’s forthcoming Netflix series.

It has been reported that filming for Meghan’s show, which will “celebrate the joys of cooking and gardening, entertaining and friendship”, began last week. The show will reportedly not be filmed at their Montecito mansion – with filming instead taking place at a rented home.

Speaking of Meghan’s brand – American Riviera Orchard – Mr Kay said he believes that this is where her “focus” is.

The expert – speaking of the mother-of-two – said that he thought the announcement of “project” plans is “sort of a way of taking breath and pausing trying to decide what to do next”.

Also speaking of the latest Palace Confidential, the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden said that it is a “very strange way of operating”. He added: “I mean, take Netflix, they will announce a new film for something when it’s gone into production or it’s about to be broadcast. “It’s very strange to announce deals and then have nothing.

“Announcing a deal like this and then not having any content, any podcasts for a year. You do wonder, is she just doing it for the publicity?”

Meghan launched American Riviera Orchard on March 14, with the reveal of a new Instagram account and website.

The Duchess of Sussex has been tipped to return to the UK next month to mark a major milestone for husband Prince Harry.

The Duke, 39, is set to attend a special ceremony at St Paul’s Cathedral for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games on May 8.
