Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have 'a way back' to Royal Family with 'unthinkable' move

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s return to the United Kingdom is “unthinkable” amid the current climate but there’s “a way back” for the pair, it has been claimed.

It comes as the fallout from Omid Scobie’s Endgame rumbles on.

Many observers perceive the Sussexes’ unofficial biographer’s latest offering as yet another attempt to expose the inner workings of the Royal Family, and, in so doing, vindicate Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to leave it.

Relations between the Sussexes and the rest of the family were at an all-time low following the release of Harry’s tell-all memoir, Spare, and the now-infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey, which engulfed the Firm in a race row.

Scobie’s latest book is said to have deepened the rift, especially among Prince William and Princess Kate, but all hope is not lost, according to one expert.

Speaking to New Magazine, Duncan Larcombe said: “I think the Sussexes are aware the Prince and Princess of Wales are still furious.”

He added: “There’s always a way back. Look at Camilla – she was the most hated person in Britain and now she’s the Queen. If that’s possible, anything’s possible. But as things stand at the moment, I’d say it’s pretty unthinkable.”

Scobie’s book reignited the race row that engulfed the Royal Family back in 2021 when Meghan claimed an unnamed member of the family raised “concerns” over Prince Archie’s skin colour.

A Dutch translation error of Endgame named the two individuals who allegedly made the incendiary comments.

Daily Express has chosen not to name the individuals.

Asked by Oprah about whether she believed the Royal Family allegedly hadn’t wanted their son Archie to be a prince “because of his race”, Meghan replied: “But I can give you an honest answer.

“In those months when I was pregnant … we have in tandem the conversation of, ‘He won’t be given security. He’s not going to be given a title’, and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born.”

Telling a dismayed Oprah that “there were several conversations about it”, the Duchess said at the time that she would not reveal who had made the remarks, because “I think that would be very damaging to them”.
