Furious Nigel Farage sends brutal 14-word warning to Tories over major 'risk' to UK safety

Nigel Farage has issued a furious warning to the Tories over what he called a major “risk” to UK safety.

The former UKIP politician took aim at foreign secretary Lord Cameron who claimed that the UK had “just emptied all we can in terms of giving equipment” to Ukraine.

Farage said Cameron’s comments and actions could have taken the UK closer to all-out war with Russia.

Taking to Twitter, Farage said: “Foreign Secretary David Cameron says ‘we’ve just emptied all we can in terms of giving equipment’ to Ukraine.

“This military equipment could be used not just to defend Ukraine but to attack inside Russia too.”

He then issued a 14-word warning: “He has made us weaker at home and at risk of going to war.”

Farage’s comments on Cameron came after Russian leader Vladimir Putin threatened UK targets in Ukraine following what he called “provocative” comments from the foreign secretary.

During his visit to Kyiv, Cameron suggested that Ukraine has the right to use British-supplied missiles against Russian territory. In response, the Russian Foreign Ministry summoned the British ambassador, Nigel Casey, to express disapproval of what it described as “bellicose and provocative statements”.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement saying: “The Russian side views Cameron’s words as a serious escalation and evidence of the growing involvement of the UK in military operations alongside Kyiv.”
