Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are clearly a low-priority for the Royal Family

Every day aides spend hours putting together news articles on official royal engagements, issuing press releases and working to ensure the Royal Family’s website is an accurate portal of information.

Weeks of work has gone into updating the thousands of pages that referred to the late Queen as monarch, and the older royal titles of senior working royals.

It is therefore a shame that some of the pages remain out-of-date, almost 18 months after the change in reign.

But perhaps the fact that the pages of those steering the ship appear polished and fresh while others do not is a reflection of both seniority and priority.

Courtiers are clear to highlight that Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and Prince Andrew are no longer working members of the Firm, by positioning the official statements confirming this high up on their respective pages.

In doing so, perhaps they thought it would simply be an open-and-shut case and little time has been devoted to poring through the detail to make sure the page reflects subsequent events.

However, leaving the pages untouched risks attracting censure from both hardy royal fans and long standing critics.

Harry and Meghan’s profile pages may well be a low priority, but it’s important that the official website – used by millions all over the world – is accurate and reliable.
