Moment 'bossy' Meghan Markle's 'true colours' came out in front of Prince Harry

A recent public appearance by Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has stirred controversy as her behavior during the Royal Salute Polo Challenge event in Wellington, Florida, raised eyebrows and prompted commentary from royal experts.

During an episode of Palace Confidential on YouTube, The Mail on Sunday’s Editor at Large, Charlotte Griffiths, remarked on the incident, which was caught on camera.

Griffiths said: “Megan’s mask slipped for sure and we saw her true colours I’d say,” drawing attention to Meghan’s actions towards the woman trying to stand next to Prince Harry.

During the event, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, was in the spotlight as he participated in the polo match.

However, an uncomfortable moment ensued when Meghan, seemingly taking charge of the situation, intervened in a photo opportunity with Prince Harry and a woman attempting to stand next to him with the winning trophy.

“I have to say that this woman who wanted to stand next to Harry wasn’t just some beautiful model there for a pretty picture, this was actually Dr Sophie Chanduka, who is the boss of Prince Harry’s charity,” Eden pointed out. “So that dismissive tone of hers is very cringeworthy.

“Dr Chanduka is a very distinguished character, so it’s going to be interesting to see how long she remains in that job.”

Griffiths noted that this was not an isolated incident for Meghan, recalling a similar occurrence in 2022 when the Duchess tried to maneuver herself to the front at another polo match.
