Met Office issues urgent 36-hour weather warning as Brits face power cuts and floods


The Met Office has issued an urgent 36-hour weather warning for parts of Britain with a risk of power cuts and floods. A wall of rain is due to hit from Saturday afternoon, with a yellow weather alert in place from 6pm.

The forecaster has warned this will continue until 11.59pm on Sunday, as hellish storms will be unleashed on north western Scotland.
