Met Office issues urgent 12-hour weather warning as snow and ice bomb to blast Britain


The Met Office has issued an urgent 12-hour weather warning for ice. It comes as the UK is blasted by snow today (Monday, January 8), with temperatures plummeting below 0C.

The yellow weather alert is in place from 3pm this afternoon until 3am on Tuesday, affecting a huge stretch of the south of England from Cornwall to Dover, as well as Norfolk, London and Oxford.
