Meghan Markle's Suits spin-off update after she's 'missing' from Super Bowl advert

Meghan Markle may have been “missing” from the Super Bowl advert but her Suits co-stars gave an update on contact with the Duchess of Sussex as well as the spin-off.

Patrick Adams and Gabriel Macht who played Mike Ross and Harvey Specter respectively, reunited for the 2024 T Mobile advert during the Super Bowl at the weekend.

They appeared alongside a number of other stars including Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Hudson who were “auditioning” to star in the commercial promoting its new Magenta Status.

Adams and Macht’s segment sees the pair filming in a garage with Macht trying to take on the role of “Phone Boy” to get the role.

The Suits actors were clearly chosen for the hit drama breaking a viewing record on Netflix last year, although Meghan Markle, who was behind Rachel Zane, is nowhere to be seen.

It was announced that Suits creator Aaron Korsh has started working on a spin-off series entitled Suits LA which has been given a pilot order by NBC.

The legal drama will focus on a new character called Ted Black, a former New York federal prosecutor who has reinvented himself for a new life in Los Angeles.

Suits LA will be about an entirely new cast of characters but that doesn’t mean old faces like Mike and Harvey couldn’t pop up.

Adams and Macht have confirmed neither of them have been asked to return so far but they wouldn’t rule out reprising their roles.

Macht said: “I mean I think it’s in a world where some characters could in fact come [back].”

This could also mean a reunion with Meghan could eventually be on the cards.

The pair also gave some advice to the new stars of Suits LA who have yet to be revealed by NBC.

Adams commented: “It’s a marathon, not a sprint, and you’re going to have a ball because Aaron’s a great writer, and they’re good people to make a show with.”

Suits is available to watch on Netflix.
