Meghan Markle and Prince Harry snub Super Bowl despite receiving invite

Recently, Prince Harry surprised many by attending the NFL Awards to present Walter Payton Man of the Year award to Pittsburgh Steelers footballer Cameron Heyward.

Looking confident and relaxed, Harry joked about NFL players “taking a breather every 15 seconds” and, referencing the short season compared to other sports, said: “Instead of a 10-month season, let’s just make it 18 weeks. Genius.”

Taking to X – formerly known as Twitter – fans were quick to remark on how happy and contented he looked, with many saying that he appears to be “living his best life” in America.

It was reported in the Mirror, that he got the gig as an ask from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, a friend of the former working royal.

Prince Harry recently made a swift return to the UK following the news of his King Charles’s cancer diagnosis.

Harry cleared his diary and made the journey to the UK alone, with the Duchess of Sussex and their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet remaining at home in California.

However, it was an extremely brief visit, under 45-minutes – with Harry spending the night not in any royal residences, but a luxury hotel in London.

During his flying visit, Harry didn’t meet his brother Prince William leading to reports that there are few signs that the feud between the brothers is any closer to thawing.

It is an upcoming busy schedule for the California-based couple, as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be heading to Vancouver, Canada, to start the countdown for the 2025 Invictus Games.
