A stinging three-word swipe at Princess Kate made by Meghan Markle has been laid bare. The sneering remark was reportedly made during a disagreement between the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Sussex over fashion choices early in their relationship.
Both Meghan and Kate are known to be fans of the designer Erdem Moralıoğlu but the Telegraph reports that while the Duchess of Sussex wore the brand during her acting career, Kate was prioritised by the designer.
The supposed bias was said to have enraged Meghan, with Kate being handed the latest designs.
In response to the news Meghan is said to have remarked that Kate “wasn’t even Queen”.
It comes after a trendy floral jacket and matching skirt from Erdem was worn by Kate at the Commonwealth Service in March last year in a suspected dig at Meghan.
Prince Harry’s book Spare also detailed the pair’s fashion quarrels with Kate supposedly thinking her sister-in-law wanted her clothing contacts.
The Duke of Sussex wrote: “Kate thought Meg had wanted her fashion contacts. But Meg had her own. They’d got off on the wrong foot perhaps?”
