Meghan Markle’s next move teased in meeting with major TV executive

Career hunting Meghan Markle may have teased a new prospect this week as she dined with a boss from the production company owned by Oprah Winfrey.

Oprah famously gave Prince Harry and Meghan their first major interview in 2021 following their departure from the UK after they announced they were stepping down as senior working royals.

On Thursday the Duchess of Sussex, 42, was photographed heading to dinner in Los Angeles with whom reports suggest was Terry Woods, the Executive Producer of Oprah’s Harpo Productions company.

It’s been a tumultuous few months for Meghan, after her Spotify podcast Archetypes ended in June last year, and more recently her fans were in uproar claiming she had been snubbed by a Vogue cover shoot featuring 40 “of the most booked and blessed women on earth”.

But a meeting with a top television executive could spell exciting times for the Montecito mother-of-two’s search for a career path close to her heart.

Meghan famously starred as Rachel Zane in the high-powered TV legal drama Suits, from 2011 to 2017, with the show now enjoying a fresh revival on Netflix.

For her meeting on Thursday Meghan ditched the power suits in favour of skinny jeans with a washed out detail and a knitted jumper that she tucked into her trousers.

The Duchess wore minimal make up and accessorised with ballet pumps and a Goyard Bellechasse Biaude PM bag worth £2,894 ($3,670).

Prior to her meeting, Meghan was spotted in London, albeit via video link, as she sent a personal video message in memory of an animal behaviourist friend to mark the naming of a new rescue wing in his honour.

Meghan paid tribute to dog trainer Oli Juste, who introduced her to the Mayhew animal charity, leading to her becoming its patron for three years.

The recording of the duchess was played to guests including actors Nigel Harman, Rula Lenska, Beatie Edney and Laura Aikman at the unveiling of the Oli Juste Wing at Mayhew’s centre in north London on Wednesday.

Mr Juste died suddenly in January 2022, and Mayhew said a “generous” donation made by his “dear friend” Meghan through her Archewell Foundation, to help continue his legacy, had made the new refurbished kennels possible.
