Man Utd confirm two major exits as Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Joel Glazer speak out

Manchester United have confirmed that interim chief executive Patrick Stewart and chief financial officer Cliff Baty are the latest to leave the club as part of INEOS’ restructuring. Club co-owners Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Joel Glazer have spoken out about the new changes to the hierarchy at the start of a new chapter.

On Tuesday night, a club statement confirmed that Stewart and Baty had mutually agreed to depart Old Trafford at the end of the season.

Jean Claude-Blanc – chief executive of INEOS Sport and on United’s football board alongside Sir Dave Brailsford – will temporarily take over from Stewart until Omar Berrada starts his post on July 13.

INEOS chief financial officer Roger Bell will replace Baty, emphasizing the control Ratcliffe has inherited beyond football operations since purchasing a 27.7 per cent stake in February.
