Meghan Markle's mouthpiece Omid Scobie hints at career change after Endgame embarrassment

Author Omid Scobie, who is often deemed Meghan Markle’s “mouthpiece”, has hinted that he could be heading for a career change after opening up about one lifelong “passion”.

The author, who also co-wrote Finding Freedom in 2020, released his latest book Endgame last month.

Although he is known for his career as a journalist, Omid has now hinted that he could soon branch out into storytelling.

Speakng to the New York Times, Mr Scobie was asked about what is next, to which he replied: “My passion has always been in storytelling, whether that is through writing or podcasts or TV or documentary.”

This revelation comes just weeks after Mr Scobie was accused of including the names of two “racist royals” in the Dutch version of Endgame.

The author’s explosive latest book has made several headlines in the month after it was released on November 28 due to its bombshell claims against the Royal Family.

Speaking after the blunder was revealed, Mr Scobie claimed that the names were behind the controversial discussions over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s then-unborn son’s skin colour.

The allegations first came to light after Meghan revealed that “concerns” had taken place over how “dark” Prince Archie’s skin would be once he was born.

Mr Scobie previously claimed that he chose not to name them due to UK libel laws.

The Dutch version of the book had to be pulled from the shelves as it was reportedly “mistranslated”.

Although Mr Scobie previously denied including the names and stated that there was an “error in the translation”, the woman who translated the Dutch edition insisted that the two names were in the original manuscript.

Translator Saskia Peeters told MailOnline: “As a translator, I translate what is in front of me.

“The names of the royals were there in black and white. I did not add them. I just did what I was paid to do and that was translate the book from English into Dutch.”

Despite previous many counts of denial, Mr Scobie then appeared to finally admit that he did name the two royals in Endgame.

The dramatic U-turn saw the author admitting that he did name the “royal racists” in a version of the bombshell book.

The Dutch version of Endgame has now been placed back on sale.
