Meghan Markle’s friend releases brand new photo of her from time as a working royal

Meghan Markle’s friend has released a brand-new photograph from her short stint as a working royal.

Taking to his official Instagram account, photographer Misan Harriman shared a photo of the Duchess of Sussex “from the archives”.

In the photo, Meghan is seconds away from walking out on stage at the opening ceremony of One Young World.

Although it is not specified when it was from, the picture was likely taken at the event in London in October 2019 – three months before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their plans to step down as working royals.

The black-and-white shot was captioned with: “I call this image the arrival. The Duchess of Sussex about to take to the stage at the opening ceremony of @oneyoungroyal.”

Meghan’s fans appeared delighted by the new picture, with many commenting on Misan’s new upload.

One fan wrote: “Miss seeing her [red-heart emoji].”

Another wrote: “Beautiful woman and beautiful picture [red-heart emoji].”

Other fans commented how much they love this particular photo of Meghan, with another fan adding that it’s “one of my favourites”.

A fourth fan simply wrote: “Wow! Stunning shot!”

Praising Misan for his art, another fan referred to him as an “incredible photographer and friend.”

The only other One Young World event that Meghan attended was alongside Prince Harry in Manchester in September 2022.

The couple flew over to the UK for some work commitments – including One Young World – and ended up extending their trip due to the death of Harry’s grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II.

At the event, Meghan gave a keynote speech in which she said how “nice” it was to be back in the UK.

In her address, the mother-of-two said: “It is very nice to be back in the UK and it is very nice to be back with all of you at One Young World.”

This was, at present, Meghan’s last visit to the UK. The former working royal didn’t visit the UK in 2023, and hasn’t – so far – visited in 2024.
