Meghan Markle is said to be hoping to follow in the footsteps of the Kardashians as she works on rebuilding career in 2024. Meghan has hinted at “exciting” career opportunities she has landed that will likely be shared in the coming months as reports suggest she plans a return to Hollywood.
Since moving to the US, things haven’t run smoothly for the Duchess of Sussex with her losing her partnership with Spotify and being labelled “grifters” by an executive at the streaming platform.
And now it has been hinted she plans on having a go at “becoming an influencer” as she’s spotted “wearing clearly sponsored brans around the paparazzi”.
Speaking to TalkTV presenter Jonny Gould, author Oli London said the actress may have a go at “following in the footsteps of the Kardashians”.
He said: “I go to America all the time and a few years ago Meghan and Harry were pretty popular. Every time I go there now, every single person I speak to is not a fan. They see them as very privileged and moaning all the time. I watched the Netflix series and it was just very dull. I think the public interest in them is waning.
“The problem is, the Royal Family don’t trust them now. The Omid Scobie Endgame book was a really flop. We know Meghan had a lot to do in feeding him information. Next year, Meghan’s trying to become an influencer.
“She’s following in the footsteps of the Kardashians. You see her wearing clearly sponsored brands around the paparazzi. I think that’s her next steps. She’s going to try and become an influencer – maybe fitness and wellness and try her luck at that.”
Most recently, Meghan was asked about her future projects while on the red carpet at the Variety Power of Women gala in November 2023.
She said that her production company Archewell had “so many exciting things on the slate” and was excited to announce them in the future.
Speaking to Angelique Jackson, she said: “I can’t wait until we can announce them but I’m just really proud of what we’re creating and my husband is loving it too.”
It comes after the Duchess was seen making a cameo in her favourite wellness latte company’s advertisement. She was seen working alongside the packing and order fulfilment team.
Some suggested the camero was a hint at what’s to come for Meghan, with a possible return to acting on the cards.
