Gypsy Rose Blanchard has been spotted on a date to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway.
The outing is especially significant as she used to read the Harry Potter series to learn to read after her mum pulled her out of school at a young age.
The 32-year-old ex-convict has been making waves on TV and social media with her husband Ryan Anderson since her release from prison this week.
She even shared moments from their date night on TikTok, showing off her love for Harry Potter. This comes in stark contrast to the upcoming Lifetime docuseries detailing her traumatic past.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard gained infamy when she and her boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn devised a plan leading to the murder of Dee Dee, her mother. The body of the mother was discovered at their home near Springfield, Missouri.

Godejohn and Gypsy Rose had already fled after committing the heinous crime. While in prison for the murder, Gypsy received over 200 letters from potential admirers before beginning a relationship with a Louisiana native named Ryan.
They eventually tied the knot, and since Gypsy’s release, the couple has not been shy about sharing details about their lives together.
Ryan, formerly a special education teacher from Louisiana, got hitched to Blanchard in 2022 while she was still incarcerated.
He’s weathered a storm of negativity on social media, with some commentators drawing comparisons between his appearance and that of the deceased Dee Dee. However, Gypsy hasn’t hesitated in defending her marriage.
She responded to one post saying “don’t listen to the haters,” and argued that they owe no one anything.
In a shocking statement, Gypsy admitted: “Besides, they jealous because you are rocking my world every night,” before adding, “Yeah I said it, the D is fire.”
Following an eight-year sentence and a sheltered upbringing, it’s no wonder that Blanchard is excited about experiencing life outside.
