Meghan Markle 'fears Archie and Lilibet will blame her for their royal loss'

Meghan Markle is concerned that her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, may grow up feeling “deprived” of the opportunity to be working royals in the UK – and could potentially “blame her” for this loss – a Royal expert has claimed.

The Duchess of Sussex, despite missing “some aspects” of life in Britain, remains “furious at the way she was treated”. However, she also fears that her decision to step away from Royal duties and relocate to Montecito, California, might lead to her children resenting her for their lack of connection with their paternal family in the UK.

Meghan, who along with Prince Harry stepped back from Royal duties in 2020, is still reportedly upset about her experiences as a member of the British Royal family.

Her distance from the UK and the Royal Family has sparked concerns that her children might grow up feeling disconnected from their paternal grandparents and cousins.

In an exclusive interview with The Mirror, royal expert Tom Quinn. stated: “On the other hand, we should always remember that phrase – ‘never say never,’ because it will come back to haunt you when you change your mind, especially if you are a public figure like Meghan.

“A friend of the couple – one of Meghan’s few aristocratic friends from her time in the UK – told me Meghan does miss some aspects of life in the UK and worries that her children will blame her if they never get to see their cousins and feel as adults that they have been deprived of what might have been a fun and meaningful existence in the UK as working royals.”

However, Mr Quinn further added: “It will be a long time before Meghan reappears in the UK. She has already publicly stated that she will not return to the UK, and her friends insist she is still furious at the way she feels she was treated during her time in Britain.”

Following this revelation, Meghan has launched her first product from her new luxury lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard. The Duchess initially hinted at her brand on March 14, but details had been limited until now, leaving Royal fans keen for a sneak peek at the promised homewares and condiments.

Meghan Markle has made a sweet debut in the artisanal food market by launching her first product under the American Riviera Orchard brand. The Duchess of Sussex sent out 50 exclusive jars of homemade strawberry jam to friends and influencers this Monday, causing quite the stir on social media.

Enthusiastic recipients showcased the charming jars, each adorned with a handwritten label featuring the American Riviera Orchard logo, ‘Montecito’, and a unique “17 of 50” marking, suggesting a limited edition offering.

However, Meghan’s venture into the world of preserves may see her pitted against Royal relatives, as Prince William’s Duchy of Cornwall estate already retails its own strawberry jam at Waitrose, priced at £2.80 a jar.

The Mirror is seeking comments from Meghan Markle’s representatives regarding the launch.
